Open Quote Contrary to my expectations for the vast majority of questions (85%) the average rating given by our students went up by somewhere between .01 and .20 points with OCE. Students who completed evaluations seemed to be systematically more favorable to their instructors. Open Quote

Instructor Survey Reports Overview

Online Course Evaluations' instructor survey reports offer a rich array of information designed specifically for instructors. Our instructor survey reports have been developed from the ground up to deliver information so instructors can take action. Designed with visual queues, important information is identified so instructors can easily interpret report information.

Instructor Survey Reports

  1. Semester Summary Report

Lists all of the classes taught during the semester along the Y-axis and a list of each question asked along the X-axis with the average scores making up the grid. This report is standard to the ones that most instructor assessment tools produce.
  2. Class Distribution Analysis Report

Lists all of the questions asked to a particular class and how the respondents scored the professor (i.e. 75% strongly agreed, 14% agreed, 11% disagreed).
  3. Percentile Rank Class Summary Report

Plots the individual instructors mean score for each survey question in relation to every instructor for that question.
  4. Percentile Ranking Graph

Provides analysis depicting everything in #3 along with a visual representation of the skew of the bell curve. This report is typically not found in the reporting sections of most instructor assessment tools and is useful for a visual representation of the variance and skew of the student responses.
  5. Class Statistical Summary Report

Lists all of the questions asked to a particular class, the average score, the number of respondents, the division average, the school average, and all of their standard deviations.
  6. Comment Summary Report

Contains all of the student comments collected by the assessment tool sorted by question. This can be filtered by how students rated a class overall. It will give you the ability to answer the question, "Of the students who disliked my class, what was the primary suggestion to make it better?"
  7. Follow-up Question Summary Report

Lists all of the follow-up responses that students make. This can be sorted and/or aggregated for every class the instructor has ever taught. It allows you to answer the question, "What's the biggest suggestion my students have to improve my teaching style?"
  8. Individual Questionnaire Report

Shows each course evaluation question (with the student identifiers taken out) completed for a course.
  9. Everything the students see!
